February 1st - The Feast of St. Brigid

February 1st is known as the Feast of St. Brigid. The day is special, not only because it was her birthday but also the day that she passed. Today, St. Brigid's day is celebrated as a traditional Gaelic festival marking the beginning of spring, halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
