This Claddagh pendant has been hallmark stamped at the Assay Office in Dublin, Ireland, assuring its quality. The small hallmark stamp often requires a magnifying glass to locate and features a .925 stamp designating genuine sterling silver, our maker-partner logo, the Assay Office logo, and a traditional fineness mark. United StatesThe necklace arrived in good time, quicker than I expected and the presentation from Solvar was excellent, as always. They even included the special piece of black paper to keep with the necklace to prevent it from tarnishing. When I visited Ireland almost fifty years ago, I bought a Claddagh ring but I caught it on a door handle. The jeweler fixed it, but it's never looked the same. I wanted this necklace so that I could wear it with some of my other sterling silver necklaces. I intend to take it off just at bedtime and when I shower. The Connemara marble was greener than I expected it to be and it's an absolutely lovely piece, beautifully made! I hope to "Wear it in Good Health," as my Irish grandmother always said!
