Irish 100% Wool Flat Cap with Tuck Away Ear Flaps - Grey

When my husband and I travelled in Ireland (first time for both of us) two years ago he bought himself a beautiful woolen cap. Which he loves and wears all the time. What was missing in the New England weather though was an ear covering. It took me a while to find a store which carried it, and that was Biddy Murphy. Gave it to my husband for his birthday in December and he totally loves it! He hadn’t quite expected this kind of present... The flaps cover the ears and neck well and can be tucked under easily without being noticeable. Got it in medium which fits his medium-sized head perfectly. Thank you!

My father has had an Irish Cap for my entire life that has recently been well-loved into oblivion. All he wanted for Christmas was a similar one….with eager flaps! You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find a soft cap with ear flaps; I looked everywhere for one that matched his original. I finally found it here, and it made his holiday, thank you so much! (Note: my father has a HUGE HEAD with masses of curly hair, yet the sizing was still perfect!)

This was a gift for my dad. He absolutely loves it, and said the quality is superb! The ear flaps are great and combined with the wool, keeps his head warm in the Idaho winters! Highly recommend!

Quality made

Great materials and I'm gonna like those ear flaps during the next Minnesota winter. But the hat just doesn't seem to fit quite right. The large was just a touch too large and the medium just a touch too small. This is not the only cap for which I have run into this issue.

I love this new cap! I've worn a similar style from another company for several years. It doesn't have the look or the flexibility this one has with the hidden flaps. My head size is usually a XXL, but the sizing here is generous. A XL fits just right for me. I like this one so well I may order a second in a different color!

In South Haven, the wind whips off of Lake Michigan and the winter can be very cold. I enjoy wearing my several wool Irish caps, but, my ears would get cold! This cap, with it’s ear flap, keeps the ears warm…and is just what I needed. Thanks Biddy Murphy!

fits great with flaps up or down. does the job.

Comfortable size for my size 64 (7 7/8) noggin. I like the fabric and quilting inside the hat and ear flaps. Seems warm but have not tested it against a cold winter storm day.
