St. Brigid Cross
Saint Brigid of Kildare (c. 451–525) or Brigid of Ireland, also less commonly spelled:
Brigit, Bridget, Bridgit, Bríd or Bride. St. Brigid is one of Ireland's patron saints along with Saints Patrick and Columba. Her feast day is 1 February, the traditional first day of spring in Ireland. She is believed to have been an Irish Christian nun, abbess, and founder of several monasteries.; She is the patron saint of healers, craftsmen and midwives.
In Ireland, a St. Brigid's Cross is often placed above a doorway or the main entrance to a home or even an outside dwelling. It is believed that she will protect all who dwell within the building and pass through the doorway.
When worn about the neck as a pendant she will provide protection or healing powers for those who are in need of such. she is the female equivalent of St. Patrick
