Celtic Jewelry
Celtic jewelry incorporates a lot of traditional styles from Ireland. When we think of Celtic we typically think of Celtic knotwork or weaves. These have come to symbolize the concept that the Celts had that the soul lived beyond the body, it was continuous. Celtic jewelry has also incorporated designs from the Christian monks who designed the gorgeous vellum bibles incorporating old Celtic designs of birds representing freedom of spirit and dogs representing protection. The most famous of all Celtic designs is the Cross or Irish Cross. It is a crucifix with a circle representing the sun. Lets not forget that the Celts were sun worshipers until St. "Patrick was one of the first to bring Christianity...and we think we are good marketers? They were "branding" 1600 years ago.
